Paige Ware in his journal “Computer-Generated Feedback on Student Writing” (2011) said if the Computer-Generated Feedback has piqued the curiosity of many writing community, computer-generated feedback is a tool for writing assistance. Why this is become curiosity is because it is offering many benefits that can support the writers to improve their writing. By using web-based host, computer-generated feedback offers a core set of support features like writing manual, model essay, and translators. The privacy of the students also secured through a password-protected account. The students just submit their writing and then they receive several types of feedback from their teachers. Also, they can communicate with their teacher through private message that automatically stored. Not only just for students, the teacher also gains some benefits through this program. They flexible to implementing their program, also they can regulate the type of feedback from their analytic or holistic and they can add their own feedback. And also, it seems this program have the intension of allowing the teachers to have the freedom of pedagogical for implementing the program.

But he claims if this program not always help students to improves their writing, the teachers must be critical on analyzing the cost-benefits relationship depend on the features of writing which might be important for the teacher to make pedagogical choice. He suggests three recommendation for implementing this program. First is to choose the integration depend on how large the instructional framework being implemented. Second is to allocate sufficient time and support for teacher to developing their own program. And the third is when the teachers integrating the program, they must consider each individual of their students like age and literacy level.

This journal has several advantages such as: first, the use of words in this journal is easy to understand. In this journal, do not use terms that can confuse readers, so that readers can easily understand the content contained in this journal. Second, the author pointing out about the benefits of this program from both aspect the students and the teachers. Third, the author also pointing out about the differences about this program as writing assistant rather than as writing assessment.
